Grandad defies odds surviving coronavirus months after heart attack and strokes

A family has urged others to stay positive after their granddad defied the odds and survived coronavirus whilst recovering from two heart attacks and multiple strokes.

Pensioner Tam Dempsey has spent the last six months in and out of hospital, battling heart attacks, a quadruple bypass, severe haemorrhaging and multiple strokes.

The 75-year-old was diagnosed with coronavirus on March 18 and his family got ready to say their final goodbyes, reports the Daily Record.
