A coronavirus patient has described his first symptom, which came before the deadly disease's characteristic headaches and fatigue.
Scott Dixon, 49, was treated at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh after being diagnosed with Covid-19 symptoms. He compared his experience on a ward to a "horror movie film set" and said a fellow patient was making "noise like a scalded cat." Mr Dixon, from Edinburgh, said the illness began with a strange symptom that developed two weeks before he tested positive.
He told Wales Online coronavirus first showed itself with a "strange itch" which developed on his wrist and initially thought "nothing of it".
