Grateful granddaughter and local baker team up to thank Dumbarton care home

A grateful granddaughter has teamed up with a local baker to deliver weekly batches of homemade cakes to a Dumbarton care home.Lauren Neill wanted to say thanks to Crosslet House Care Home staff who are looking after her beloved gran Beatrice Gallacher, who is originally from Brucehill.After launching a fundraiser which raised £600, she contacted Dumbarton baker Gayle McCallum who will be delivering delicious cakes for the next 20 weeks.Lauren, mum to one-year-old Ella, heaped praise on the carers for working under tough conditions.The Lennox Herald reported a couple of weeks ago how 10 residents had passed away at the home due to confirmed or suspected coronavirus.She said: “My grandmother has been in Crosslet House for just over a year
