coronavirus outbreak at a Greggs distribution depot in Leeds has been confirmed after several members of staff tested positive for the virus.Greggs, which sell savoury and sweet snacks, confirmed a "number" of their staff have "tested positive for Covid-19" at their Leeds distribution depot.
The popular food chain said they have taken "immediate action to implement" a coronavirus response plan and is now working with local government to manage the outbreak.
Leeds City Council and Public Health England are understood to have stepped in to help Greggs "minimise any possible impact" on their customers.The CEO of Greggs, Roger Whiteside, has issued a statement following the announcement, LeedsLive reports.
