Harvey Weinstein has been charged with new counts of sexual assault, according to prosecutors in LA. The disgraced Hollywood producer was found guilty of rape and sexual act charges in New York in February, later sentenced to 23-years behind bars.
He was due to be extradited to LA, to face other charges stemming from two incidents in February, 2013 – including one count of forcible rape, forcible oral copulation and sexual penetration by force.
And the 68-year-old has now been accused of ‘sexual battery by restraint’. A woman has come forward with fresh allegations that he attacked her during an incident at a Beverly Hills hotel room on 11 May, 2010, Los Angeles County District Attorney Jackie Lacey has said.
