Headteacher issues warning to parents over Covid-19 school run rules

The Year 2 class from St Andrew's CE Primary School in Eccles, Salford, was sent home until May 6 after a pupil tested positive for Covid.

But while guidance states that those pupils should stay home, only leaving their house to play in their own garden, some of the youngsters have been seen outside school when parents are dropping off and picking up other children.

In a letter to parents on Thursday, headteacher Joanne Bladen-Kay said: "One of the children in the Y2 class has tested positive for Covid.
