A healthy nine-year-old girl was rushed to hospital after she went to bed with a migraine woke up paralysed from a brain injury Brave Lexe Donlan is in Bristol Children’s Hospital as her family await news on what caused her to suffer the brain injury that temporarily paralysed her.
She had been suffering migraines in the week leading up to Easter, and du to the coronavirus guidelines around doctors appointments, she had been diagnosed over the phone with potential sinusitis, or migraines.
But it wasn’t until ten days after her first symptom – on Easter Sunday morning – when the little girl suddenly woke up stumbling, feeling incredibly sleepy, and with her eyes fixed to the left, that her parents knew it was something far more serious.
