Maisy Evans, from Newport, has spent the last four days in the Grange Hospital in Cwmbran, WalesOnline reports. Doctors initially thought the 17-year-old was suffering from meningitis, but a scan later revealed a blood clot on her lung which had developed after she contracted the virus.
Maisy, who has had one Covid vaccine so far, said she now can't stand up without catching her breath and is 'knocked back' by even small tasks.
