A historic lightship has been illuminated in honour of NHS and key workers during the coronavirus pandemic.The North Carr lightship – which is the last such vessel in Scotland – had its tower light switched on for the first time “in a number of years” and lit up in the emergency services’ colour of blue.Coatbridge lighthouse expert Peter Gellatly is a consultant with the project team currently working on a long-term initiative to completely refurbish the ship, which is moored at Victoria Dock in Dundee.
