Stephanie Davis has revealed that she is leaving Hollyoaks. The actress, 27, who plays Sinead O'Connor in the Channel 4 soap, took to her Instagram account on Monday evening to share the bombshell news with her fans and admitted that it was not what she wanted.

The star first appeared on the popular show from 2010 to 2015 and then returned in 2018 after a battle with alcohol addiction, suicidal thoughts and following a turbulent split from Jeremy McConnell, with whom she shares son Caben-Albi.

Dropping the bombshell announcement on her page, she shared a snap of white square with the quote: "Goals: To be happy" alongside the news of her departure and shared that despite it not being what she wanted she knows it is right.
