Pixar's Onward is one of the recent film releases that's had its cinema run cut short due to the coronavirus outbreak. Originally released in mid-March the film was enjoying box office success before cinemas across the UK were forced to close as part of a nationwide lockdown.
Disney fans were then expecting the film to be uploaded to its streaming service Disney+ like upcoming release Atrmemis Fowl, but it was only added in the US.
In the UK and Europe the film will be available on on-demand services including Amazon Prime, Sky Box Office and Google Play.
The film will be released for download on Monday, May 4 and viewers can purchase it for £13.99 and be able to keep it in their library.
