There are 111 people being treated for Covid-19 in hospital, according to the latest figures from the HSE. The bulk of these patients are being treated at the Mater Hospital and Tallaght University Hospital in Dublin, with 13 each.
There were 34 patients being treated in intensive care for Covid-19, of which 26 were on ventilators. The Chief Executive of the HSE has described the figures as "encouraging" when compared to the situation a few weeks ago.
