HSE worst case scenario suggests peak of 546 people a day needing intensive care

Some worst case projections within the Health Service Executive have suggested that the number of patients, requiring intensive care, could rise to a peak of 546 a day, by around mid-April.

Modelling of various scenarios is continuing and is not complete. One scenario presented to officials, and seen by RTÉ News, has projected the peak number of patients a day requiring acute care at 1,328 on April 11.
