Hundreds of shoppers queued round the block as the hours ticked down before tougher coronavirus restrictions come into play.
IKEA’s Warrington store had long waits to get in as people made the most of the final hours before the Government's clampdown is inforced.
A queuing system made up of barriers was set up outside the store where customers faced a wait of around 30 minutes to get inside.
Staff ensured all customers in the queue were kept at a safe distance from one another and safety measures were followed. The scenes today were similar to those witnessed back in June when non-essential shops were allowed to reopen following the national lockdown.
