He's gone from working just a few days a week, juggling his medical duties with his role on Oldham council cabinet, to being on call 'more or less 24 hours a day'.
Unsuprisingly his experiences on the frontline of the coronavirus pandemic have caused anxiety and led to a fair bit of soul-searching.
