An 'incredibly intoxicated' thug dragged his girlfriend through the streets and strangled her three times during a 'brutal' one hour ordeal, a court heard.
Andrew Graham, 34, has been jailed for two years for the attack, and for controlling and coercive behaviour against her. Manchester Crown Court heard that Graham, from Salford, and the woman, a mum-of-two, had known each other since they were children.
They started a relationship after becoming close following the funeral of Graham's mother. The relationship was 'very good' at first but they began to argue and the relationship 'deteriorated', prosecutor Kate Gaskell said.
