Jennifer Saunders has denied writing an NHS letter on Facebook blaming its staff for PPE shortages after it appeared on her ‘official’ page. The Absolutely Fabulous star was asked by a fan on Twitter whether she really wrote the comments calling the NHS ’lazy’ for not ordering Personal Protective Equipment ‘on time’ as it had been circulating on the social media site.

The rant was in support of the government despite their perceived failures to provide masks and scrubs. Jennifer, 61, said that she did not write the post, tweeting: ‘Not me.
