Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that Jurgen Klopp was critical of the decision to play Liverpool’sChampions League clash with Atletico Madrid despite coronavirus concerns.
The Round of 16 second leg match was one of the final matches to go ahead before football across the world was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The 3-2 win for Atletico even took place in front of a packed Anfield crowd, with several travelling supporters making the trip from Spain.
Several other fixtures had been postponed, while others were played behind closed doors before governing bodies decided to make a decision to cancel games for a prolonged period of time.
