Kate Garraway named Inspiration of the Year after coping with husband's Covid battle

Kate Garraway was left emotional when she was hailed as Inspiration of the Year. She was handed Hello's Inspiration of the Year prize at Good Morning Britain's 1 Million Minutes Awards last night.

Kate, 53, was given the award because of the way she's handled her husband Derek Draper's coronavirus battle. As he's battled the disease in hospital for months, fighting for his life, Kate has raised their children Darcey and Billy while continuing to work and raise awareness and educate people about the effects Covid-19 can have on people and their loved ones.
