Kate Garraway has opened up about going through the "hardest" time of her life as her husband Derek Draper remains in a deeply critical condition.

The Good Morning Britain presenter's husband is in hospital battling coronavirus. Kate, 52, has told fans that there's still hope for Derek as she thanked those offering her support during the difficult time.

Sending out a message through her Club Garraway Wellbeing Club, she also thanked the NHS staff who are risking their lives to care for her husband.

Kate wrote: "You may have seen over the last few that my husband Derek has been seriously ill in hospital with Covid-19. I am afraid that he remains in a deeply critical condition and is very ill, but he's still alive so there is hope. "It
