Kate Garraway's gravely ill husband Derek Draper is in a coma and unable to have any of his family visit him in intensive care.
Former Labour adviser Derek, 52, has been battling coronavirus in intensive care since March 30, but took a turn for the worse after being rushed to hospital with severe symptoms of COVID-19.
Because of the strict rules around visiting coronavirus patients in hospital, distraught Kate and their children Darcey, 14, and William, 11, have been forced to stay away from his ICU and haven't seen him in person for nearly a month.
Last night, the Good Morning Britain presenter shared a heartbreaking update about Derek's condition. Confirming he was being kept alive solely by the heroic efforts of his NHS team, Kate said
