A 68-year-old man died of the novel coronavirus in Thiruvananthapuram today, taking the number of COVID-19 deaths in Kerala to two.
The man suffered kidney failure, Medical Superintendent, Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram said, news agency ANI reported. "A 68-year-old man who had been tested positive for coronavirus passed away early morning today.
He suffered kidney failure: Medical Superintendent, Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala," news agency ANI said in a tweet.
This is the second coronavirus death in the state. Kerala had registered its first coronavirus death when a a 69-year-old man died in Kochi Medical College on 28 March.
