North Korea is reportedly preparing Kim Jong Un’s sister Kim Yo Jong to act as the country’s Supreme Leader, Korea Economic Daily reports.
Speculation about Kim’s health first arose due to his absence from the anniversary of the birthday of North Korea’s founding father, and Kim’s grandfather, Kim Il-sung, on April 15th.
Cases of coronavirus in North Korea were then confirmed on April 19th, days after dictator Kim Jong-un denied the deadly virus had hit the country.
Kim has now not been seen in public for 10 days, fuelling fears about the condition of his health during a worldwide pandemic.
