LeBron James has lashed out at NFL star Drew Brees for his latest comments about protests during the national anthem at sporting events.
Colin Kaepernick began kneeling back in 2016 while playing for the San Francisco 49ers to protest against racial injustices, but he was met with criticism, including from fellow quarter-back Brees, and has remained unassigned since.
It’s thought that following events in the United States many more protests will happen when sporting events return after the coronavirus pandemic.
The kneeling method has been greeted with concern by Brees once again though, who insists that protesting during the national anthem is “disrespectful”.
