Stevie Ward has turned to ballet for help and inspiration during his recovery from a head injury. The Leeds Rhinos skipper says a lengthy chat with Royal Ballet principal dancer Steven McRae has opened his eyes.
And he is convinced that more rugby players could benefit from learning about the approach and mind set of the top ballet stars.
Ward said: “I have that much respect for these guys. How fit they are and how talented they are, but more than anything how much dedication and discipline they have. “They sacrifice so much and I got so much out of talking to him, even though we are at opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of what sports we play.” Ward, 26, is still recovering from a head injury he suffered in the opening game of the
