Stephen Warnock has slammed Liverpool mayor Joe Anderson after he suggested fans might congregate outside stadiums if games are played behind closed doors.

All football is currently on hold due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Match action might resume at empty venues later this summer, but Anderson suggested there could be issues with such a plan. "Even if it was behind closed doors, there'd be many thousands of people who would turn up outside Anfield," he told the BBC.
