Lockdown rule breaker fined four times in Covid-19 hotspot Bolton over parties

Sign up today for the best stories straight to your inboxA potential super spreader in one of the UK's coronavirus hotspots broke lockdown rules with large gatherings at their house four times, police have said.The unnamed rule flouter has now been fined a total of £800 for hosting parties at an address in Bolton, Greater Manchester.The town was recently brought out of strict additional restrictions after the rate of Covid-19 cases in the area fell.Bolton recorded almost 240 cases per 100,000 people on 2 October, down from 261 cases per 100,000 seven days earlier.Residents in Greater Manchester are not allowed to host people from outside their household or social bubble in either their home.
