American actress and director Lynn Shelton has died after fighting a blood disorder. The film and TV maker worked on projects including the Netflix smash GLOW, award winning drama Mad Men and the Reese Witherspoon rooted drama Little Fires Everywhere.
Lynn was just 54 when she died on Friday, with her boyfriend Marc Maron announcing the sad news via a statement to Indie Wire.
The 56-year-old comedian said: “I have some awful news. Lynn passed away last night. She collapsed yesterday morning after having been ill for a week.” He continued: “There was a previously unknown, underlying condition.
It was not COVID-19. The doctors could not save her. They tried. Hard.” He went on: “I loved her very much as I know many of you did as well.
