The Liverpool Echo Political Editor was confused over why he had been given priority for the vaccine - so decided to give his GP a call to check if there had been a mistake.

The journalist was stunned when his doctor informed him he had been placed in Group 6 for the jab after he was recorded as being 6.2cm tall rather than his actual height of 6ft 2in.This meant NHS staff mistakenly thought he was 'morbidly obese' and had a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 28,000 - 1,000 times the UK average.
