MILWAUKEE - Seventeen people were injured and 10 people were arrested in a shooting that happened shortly after 11 p.m. Friday near Water and Juneau in Milwaukee's Water Street Bar District.Police say nine firearms were recovered in the shootings. All victims are between the ages of 15 and 47.

DOVER, Del. - A traffic stop turned drug search has taken yet another turn amid accusations of racial profiling.Delaware State University, a historically black college, will file a formal civil rights complaint against the Liberty County Sheriff's Department after the lacrosse team was stopped in Georgia, according to Tony Allen, the university's president.Allen says the deputies performed a "constitutionally dubious stop and search" of the lacrosse team and their bus as they drove home on April 20.The team was pulled over in Liberty County for an alleged minor traffic violation. Deputies then boarded the bus to announces they would be conducting a search."If there is something in there that is questionable, please tell me now because if we find it, guess what? We’re not going to be able to help you," one deputy said.Allen claims the stop and search was a violation of rights for every passenger on the bus, as well as the driver."Our first and most immediate concern was our students and coaches mental and physical well-being," he said.Allen says he has been in contact with Liberty County's sheriff, whose recent comments have raised several questions.Recently released body camera footage shows the deputies and drug-sniffing dogs searching the team's luggage and personal belongings.

India on Saturday reported 2,858 Covid-19 cases and 11 deaths in 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said in its report. LEON COUNTY, Texas - A manhunt is underway for an inmate who escaped custody in Leon County, Texas by stabbing a corrections officer while being transported.Gonzalo Lopez, 46, was being transported on a bus with 15 other inmates from Gatesville, headed eastbound on Highway 7 to Huntsville Thursday afternoon. PHILADELPHIA - Authorities say a police officer and two juveniles were hurt in a near head-on collision Friday in Philadelphia. According to police, an officer in a police vehicle was attempting to stop a black Ford being driven by a juvenile on the 3800 block of Aspen Street. During the pursuit, investigators say the Ford rammed into the front passenger's side of an oncoming police cruiser. The driver and another juvenile were brought to the hospital for observation, police said. The officer was also hospitalized in stable condition, according to police. AdvertisementAn update from the Philadelphia Police Department mentioned that officers made an arrest, but they did not share information on the suspect.
