NEW DELHI : Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia has written to Union Home minister Amit Shah and Delhi Lieutenant governor Anil Baijal seeking the roll back of the rule under which every patient who has been tested positive for the coronavirus has to visit a facility for assessment.Upon assessment it is to be decided if the person quarantines at home or at a facility.In the letter, which has been written in Hindi to both Home minister and LG Baijal, Deputy CM Sisodia goes on to say that the decision has caused a lot of consternation among the people who are testing positive for Coronavirus.Everyone who is testing positive is facing a dilemma as to how one will go to an isolation facility and if he is found safe for home quarantine how will he.

NEW DELHI : The Delhi government on Saturday issued an order fixing the cost of a COVID-19 isolation bed in any private hospital in Delhi in the range of ₹8,000- ₹10,000 and an ICU bed with ventilator at ₹15,000- ₹18,000 per day.The order by the Delhi Health Department said the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) had accepted the recommendations of the high-powered committee, set up by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.The committee, under the chairmanship of V K Paul, member, NITI Aayog, was constituted earlier to ensure the availability of 60 per cent beds at private hospitals for coronavirus patients at lower rates and fix the rate of COVID-19 testing and treatment.The Delhi government on had Thursday issued an order to fix the price

New Delhi: Amid objections by the Kejriwal government to his order for mandatory five-day institutional quarantine for COVID-19 patients, Lt Governor Anil Baijal on Saturday said it would be required for only those who do not need hospitalisation and do not have adequate facilities for home isolation. The order of five-day mandatory institutional quarantine was opposed by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his Deputy Manish Sisodia in a meeting of Delhi State Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) on Saturday. The Lt Governor after the meeting said in a tweet, "Regarding institutional isolation, only those COVID positive cases which do not require hospitalisation on clinical assessment & do not have adequate facilities for home isolation

The order said that patients who test positive will have to spend five days of mandatory isolation after which asymptomatic patients will be sent home to recover.Delhi, which has the third highest number of cases in the country has a large number of patients recovering at home.
