COVID-19 scrapped the season.The industry is worth about $164 million in Nova Scotia and close to $50 million in New Brunswick.All those numbers were zero for the year instead.

Revenue loss from cruise ship suspension expected to reach over $165M, Halifax Port Authority says “Everybody knows what has happened,” says Lane Farguson, media relations and communications manager for the Port of Halifax, “not just to cruise here in Halifax but to all aspects of life as we know it.”Last week, federal Transport Minister Marc Garneau announced the extension of cruise restrictions in Canadian waters through the end of February 2021.
