Fashion giant Marks & Spencer is in talks to "hibernate" millions of pounds worth of unused stock, amid fears the coronavirus lockdown could force many chains into administration.
The retail giant is among a raft of major clothing retailers busy snapping up warehouse space to recycle this year's summer lines for spring 2021.
It comes after retailers were forced to close their doors on March 23, with chains set to reopen - at the earliest - in June, under strict Government guidelines.
Fashion hub Primark has already hinted at plans to host a bumper clear out after building up more than £1.5billion worth of unused stock due to the pandemic.
