McDonald's opens first restaurants for walk in service tomorrow - with 8 key changes

The first McDonald's branches to allow people to walk in and collect their food in person are reopening tomorrow. Since coronavirus forced McDonald's to close its restaurants in March, the chain has been working hard to find ways to serve customers safely again.

First came a few restaurants for delivery only, then came some drive thrus, then came hundreds of drive thrus and delivery restaurants.

And from 11am Wednesday, people will be able to walk into a branch themselves to collect food again. McDonald’s UK chief executive Paul Pomroy said: "Following a closed test in London last month, I am pleased to confirm that we will begin reopening for takeaway and click and collect.
