A paramedic shouted "oh god" as an oxygen tank sparked before exploding while treating a coronavirus patient, an inquest has heard.
Emma Spencer and Steve Kelly, both West Midlands Ambulance Service medics, were called to Lynn Hadley's home in, Walsall, after a 999 call reported breathing difficulties.
As crews began oxygen treatment, sparks flew from the device and ignited the armchair and killed the 67-year-old at around 5pm on Easter Monday.
Mrs Hadley's husband, David, told Black Country Coroner's Court that he saw a "flash" out the corner of his eye after the canister was turned on next to the Lymphomania sufferer.
