Michael Stewart makes Premiership reconstruction call to avoid 'harsh' relegation

Outspoken pundit Michael Stewart insists it's time for a 14-team Premiership that will solve the issues being caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Coronavirus has caused the SPFL and SFA to postpone all domestic football and Scotland and nobody knows when it will be able to return.

One of the suggestions is to have the league finished at current standings which would mean Hearts get relegated from the Premiership, while others want the season declared null-and-void if the fixtures can't be fulfilled.

That would mean Dundee United miss out on promotion to the top flight despite their huge advantage in the Championship while the likes of Inverness Caley Thistle are chasing a play-off spot.
