Organizers have cancelled Midem 2020, the music business conference and festival originally set for June 2-5 in Cannes. But there's a silver lining: Many of the event's planned keynote sessions, talks and presentations will move online. The online version, dubbed the Midem Digital Edition, will livestream globally during the conference's original planned dates (June 2-5).
It will partly shift focus to the coronavirus crisis' impact on the music industry, allowing virtual attendees to "discuss, collaborate and share solutions with a focus on the most impacted music stakeholders," according to a press release."The situation related to the coronavirus is changing daily, as are government announcements and restrictions.
