A grieving woman claims her cancer-stricken mum died after catching coronavirus from an infected patient on the same hospital ward.
Pamela Clifford, who was diagnosed with esophagus cancer three years ago, was readmitted to Royal Stoke University Hospital just weeks after undergoing surgery.
The 72-year-old then caught Covid-19 from a fellow patient and died in November following a second operation, claims her daughter Susan Colborne, who has lodged an official complaint against Staffordshire's biggest hospital.
Susan, 52, told StokeonTrentLive that she believes her mum would still be alive today had her second surgery had been delayed.
