A mum has expressed her fear for her baby after he tested positive for coronavirus at just 11-weeks-old. Jodie Banister, 30, rushed little Ares to Leicester Royal Infirmary on Monday (April 13) after his temperature rocketed to 40.1C.
Mum-of-three Jodie said her son had not shown any other symptoms of the virus and was originally told to stay at home by NHS Direct call-handlers.
But when his condition worsened, she repeatedly called 111 before they advised her to take Ares to hospital where he was fist treated for suspected meningitis.
