A fearful mother is urging people to stay home after revealing her 11-week-old baby is battling the deadly coronavirus in hospital.
Ares Banister suffered from a high temperature and admitted into Leicester Royal Infirmary where he tested positive for Covid-19.
Speaking to the BBC, his worried mother Jodie Banister, 30, said she felt "fear and panic" after his diagnosis. The infant "seemed to have settled" she went on to say, despite having a "bad day" a day before his coronavirus test.
Jodie revealed that the family had been very careful and took precautions following the outbreak. She said: "We just thought, no way on earth it'd be Covid. "Fear and panic.
