A mum with coronavirus has woken up from an induced coma to discover she's given birth. Angela Primachenko, from Vancouver, Washington, was left fighting for her life after being struck down by Covid-19 and had to put on a ventilator when she was 33 weeks pregnant.
The 27-year-old, who works as a respiratory therapist, started displaying symptoms including fever and tested positive on March 24.
Within eight days, her symptoms had escalated and she was put into a coma at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center. Angela's doctors then decided to induce labour to save both her and her unborn child.
