North Korea has locked down a major city close to its border with coronavirus -hit China, which has puzzled experts. The Hermit Kingdom, which claims to be free of the deadly disease, is preventing entry to Rason – a major city for trade with both Russia and China.
But, Pyongyang chiefs have refused to tell North Koreans why the city was closed off. The silence from Kim Jong-un has led to fears that Covid-19 slipped into the notoriously-secretive nation.
