A new report shows the worst hit areas for coronavirus infections in England - while also revealing that Leicester had already started to drop before the local lockdown was imposed.
Public Health England's data, published on Wednesday, shows the Midlands city was more than three times higher than second place Bradford for new infections between June 21-27.
But that it had already dipped from 140.2 per 100,000 to 135.7 from the previous week. Bradford, in second place, meanwhile, had 42.8 per 100,000.
Of the top 10, Doncaster and Bolton were the only places to show a continued surge, with differences of 4.2 and 6.3, respectively.
