Newcastle loanee Valentino Lazaro remains in the dark over his future at the north-east club. The Magpies still have an option to buy the Austrian on a permanent basis when his loan deal expires at the end of the season.
Lazaro has only featured five times for Newcastle since his January switch, with the coronavirus pandemic halting top flight football since mid-March.
Newcastle have a host of issues to iron out at present, including the expiring contract of Matty Longstaff, the resumption of football and the ongoing takeover situation.
And recent talks between Lazaro's entourage and the club didn't bring about any concrete conclusion regarding next season and a permanent stay.
