A nationwide round of applause is set to take place again this evening, Thursday 2 April, at 8pm, to thank NHS workers for putting their lives on the line to help tackle the coronavirus outbreak. The campaign, named #ClapForOurCarers, invites everyone to join together on front doorsteps, gardens, out of windows, on balconies or in their living rooms for a countrywide applause which is set to be huge.
Last week on Thursday 26 March millions of people lent heads out of windows and came out onto their doorsteps to applaud the NHS and health workers, during the first clap and now, as a result of the iconic event, it’s happening again tonight.
