NHS Lothian has agreed to establish a West Lothian COVID-19 testing centre for local healthcare staff.The move comes after Councillor Lawrence Fitzpatrick, leader of the council, last week criticised an “Edinburgh-centric” approach by the health trust and called for it to widen testing into West Lothian, warning “that the world does not end at Maybury roundabout”.This week NHS Lothian said a test centre will now be open from today (Thursday) at West Lothian College car park in Livingston.The new drive-through appointment-based test centre was built this week by workers from the council’s Building Services at the request of Lothian NHS.Testing, it is understood, will not only be available to local NHS staff but to care workers.It will see
