NHS names 'loving, wonderful and caring' midwife, 54, who died of coronavirus

The NHS has confirmed named a 54-year-old midwife who tested positive for coronavirus and died on Thursday as her family paid a moving tribute to her.

The midwife, who died after testing positive for coronavirus at Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust, has been named as Lynsay Coventry, 54, The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust said.

Lynsay Coventry’s family paid tribute to her as a “very well-respected midwife”, adding: “Our hearts are broken at the loss of our loving, wonderful and caring mum, sister, daughter and grandmother.” Ms Coventry's family added: "We each know how much she loved and cherished us.
