Boohoo has been criticised for selling ‘useless fashion masks’ at a time when healthcare workers have expressed fears over the lack of personal protective equipment (PPE) when treating coronavirus patients.

An NHS nurse has said she finds it ‘disgusting’ that the online retailer has turned PPE into a fashion statement that offers ‘no use to the public’.

The bandana-like coverings, each bearing a coronavirus-related slogan, are going for £5 each with some of the range currently on sale at 20 percent off.
