Niecy Nash is stepping in for Nick Cannon on The Masked Singer. The 40-year-old host of the reality competition show on Fox has tested positive for coronavirus, Variety reports of the reason behind the change in the upcoming fifth season.

The site says that Nick will be absent “in at least the first few episodes” and is currently in quarantine and resting.

Season four of the series just wrapped up and crowned LeAnn Rimes, who was masked as The Sun, as the winner. Aloe Blacc and Nick Carter placed second and third.

The upcoming season five is filming now and is on par to premiere in March. Niecy will join returning judges Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke on the show.
