Nicola Sturgeon announces 1 new coronavirus death in Scotland and 677 new cases

coronavirus death has been recorded in Scotland over the last 24 hours. The Scottish Government also announced that 677 new cases of COVID-19 were reported overnight, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 100, 783.

974 people are in hospital being treated for the deadly virus while 59 people remain in intensive care, a decrease of three.

Of the new cases 178 were in Greater Glasgow and Clyde, 114 in Lothian, and 103 in Lanarkshire.The news comes as Scots in level four lockdown areas will hopefully see an end to the toughest restrictions this week.Nicola Sturgeon is due to make an announcement on the current lockdown levels in Parliament in the coming days.The current level four for Glasgow and 10 neighbouring councils will end on.
